An Austrian broadcaster is encouraging young women to give themselves and their mothers new breasts for Mother's Day. The campaign is called \"Tutti Kompletti\". Presumably, a woman is only complete with silicone breasts.<\/h2>\n

I have been trying to help women achieve healthy self-esteem for years. I find it very worrying that surgical procedures are being sold to us as something harmless and that women are being put under pressure. Now the radio station Kronehit is running this sick campaign. They are encouraging young women to give themselves and their mum a breast operation for Mother's Day and are giving away 5,000 euros for this purpose. I find that outrageous. Firstly, for me this is the height of trivialisation, as if it were a kind of manicure that you can just have done in between and secondly, the subject of beauty has no place in the relationship between mother and child.<\/h2>\n

I have created this video in response. There needs to be a dissenting voice to this all-pervasive pressure that is put on women. Of course we want to look good. Ich finde es sehr besorgniserregend, dass uns chirurgische Eingriffe als etwas Harmloses verkauft und Frauen unter Druck gesetzt werden. Nun hat der Radiosender Kronehit diese kranke Aktion laufen. Sie ermutigen junge Frauen, sich und der Mama zum Muttertag eine Brust-OP zu schenken und verlost zu diesem Zweck 5.000 Euro. Ich finde das unerh\u00f6rt. Erstens ist das f\u00fcr mich der Gipfel der Verharmlosung, als w\u00e4re das eine Art Manik\u00fcre, die man halt so zwischendurch machen lassen kann und zweitens hat das Thema Sch\u00f6nheit wenigstens in der Beziehung zwischen Mutter und Kind nichts verloren.\n\nIch habe als Antwort dieses Video erstellt. Es braucht eine Gegenstimme zu diesem allseits vorhanden Druck, der auf Frauen ausge\u00fcbt wird. Nat\u00fcrlich wollen wir gut aussehen. Aber es gibt auch gesunde Wege zur Attraktivit\u00e4t.
