sSummer has decided on a hot finale, with temperatures climbing above 30 degrees again over the next few days. I would like to recommend this simple drink for such hot days. Quick to make, healthy and great for quenching your thirst: cucumber water.

Simply place a few slices of cucumber in the water and leave to infuse for an hour. I like to add a few lemon balm or mint leaves, sometimes a sprig of rosemary. You can also puree the water with the cucumber. You need about half a cucumber per 1 litre of water. What can this water do?

1. thanks to the isotonic properties of cucumber, cucumber water ensures a balanced water balance and counteracts dehydration.

2 Cucumber is rich in vitamin K and therefore strengthens the bones.

3. cucumber water gives the skin extra moisture, but also silicon and vitamin B-5, which are important for the skin. it can also be used as a facial toner.

4 Cucumber water helps to lower high blood pressure as it removes extra sodium from the kidneys.

5 Cucumber water is rich in vitamins and minerals.

6 It helps to detoxify and cleanse the body and is therefore often used for cleansing cures.

Of course, it is advisable to use an organic cucumber. The lucky ones among us have a plant in the garden and often we don't know what to do with the cucumbers. Into the water jug today!
